Our weather this summer has been on the cool side.....and a bit rainy. It actually almost feels like fall sometimes. On a few of those rainy days, I pulled out some "things" that we have not played with in a bit. The boys were actually learning while having fun....that's one of the goals I have. I want to keep the love of learning alive....I hope for fun and learning to sort of melt together. Now, I realize that this is not always possible....but, I'll take the moments I can get. We started with Silly Sentences.
The boys made up some truly silly sentences.
Then we moved on to some Color Wonder....using black paper with rainbow markers. Color Wonder is a mess free way to color. The color appears once you write on the paper. Very surprisingly fun for my non coloring loving boys! Try to say that 10 times fast ;)

Fun!
I've said it once and I will probably say it at least a hundred more times, but YOUR BOYS ARE THE CUTEST!
LOL..it's so cute how 98% of the time, they are shirtless! Love it!!
I'll have to check out that sentence game!! It looks like it is fun and educational!
LOL
2 Pizzas
1 Vanilla Shake
1 Hamburger
Was that their dinner request?
I think it is wonderful that your kids don't realize they are doing something educational yet!
When I try to do this I hear, "Mom, this is summer, it's not supposed to be educational!" lol
What a great idea. I love the color wonder, We don't have that or the board game!! I'm going to try and find them at one of our local stores tomorrow!! Your boys are just so adorable.
Bunny
It may be two pizzas now, but just wait until they get older. We have three around here....
Can I just tell you how much I adore how often your boys are shirtless?! I encourage mine to go without shirts in the summer...because that means less laundry for me!!!! :)
Great game!! Always loved that one!
What a good mommy...it is great when they can have fun while learning...thats what it is all about.
We have had a cool summer too. You were right with your guesses...safe and sound in Montana tonight. Yeah!
That paper is pretty cool. Much easier than coloring a whole paper, then coloring over it with black and then using a fingernail or something to scratch the black off with.
I can just see you holding up that sauce and saying "Would anybody like some of this....um.....stuff?"
This is fabulous...I also agree with making learning fun! I have 3 children and on a daily basis we teach each other something new! The joys of motherhood...Priceless! AGAIN....your boys are yummy-So cute!
I am so glad that you mentioned the fall feeling. I felt it yesterday morning and I was kind of sad! I'm so not ready for fall yet!
The boys look so intent on their games. I know I've said this before, but they are just so adorable!
It always makes me laugh that no matter how cold it is, those boys never have shirts on! So funny!
