Hip-Hip-Hooray

I was trying to think of a title for this post.......because it's technically about the boys hips I thought that title fit. Plus, I've only had one cup of coffee.....best I could do.

As I've mentioned, we've been praying about a few situations lately. Yesterdays post about the boys has nothing to do with today's.....different issues. Thankfully, both issues have been resolved. Actually, the only thing they have in common is a great Dr and getting some answers.

We've been concerned about the boys stride and the way their feet turn....basically their walk and run. Since they were about 1 yr old we've asked their different pediatricians about it and they've always said that the boys were fine. We recently went to a new Dr who really took the time to discuss every concern and addressed each of those concerns in a new way. I'm hoping to share about the boys new immune system protocol soon. But for today we'll talk hips...this Dr addressed our concern over the boys walk/stride and said that there was a problem. We were finally getting some answers.

The boys saw their physical therapist for the first time on Tues......he was fabulous. We could not have asked for a more gentle and thoughtful therapist. We had been thinking that it was a foot issue.....turns out it has to do with their hips. They don't have full movement which makes their walk and run a bit stiff and even painful. I'm sure G remembers the actual term......I feel terrible that I don't. I do know what we need to do to help them gain more flexibility and hopefully improve things.....including avoiding future pain and problems. The boys were wonderful at their first appointment...I'm pretty sure they even had fun. Though, Ross was not thrilled with the paparazzi at his appointment.

We worked out a plan with our PT......G and I will do their exercises with them 2x a day and report back to him for assessment every 2 weeks.

It feels like our days have been consumed with appointments and meetings lately....hoping to get back to some fun and our usual routine soon......playing, cooking, dancing......moving furniture ;)

Another Day at the Park

We've really enjoyed visiting different local parks this summer. I guess it's our version of a "stay-cation". Each park has been somewhat unique and full of fun.....usually our imaginations fuel that fun. At this park, we started on the teeter totters......G and I were on the other side of this one. Up...down....up....down.....honestly, a bit boring after awhile. So, we moved on.....

G seems to always play on the zip line or the monkey bars. I have to admit, I've never been able to do the monkey bars.....
.....finding some football thingy-ma- jigs to attack....more up my alley. Though, I definitely hit that thing like a little girl. The 3 boys on the other hand....

....ran at those things with full force.

I'm not sure what was going on....but, they seemed to all know what they were doing and had some fun.

Fun, until the big rain drops started coming down....then Mama was the first to run to the car.

Three Little Birds

There is no reason for the above picture other than the fact that.....I like pictures, especially pictures of my boys. The rest of this post will be random thoughts....I guess that goes along well with a random picture.

*I'm missing checking in with my bloggy friends. I'm sorry that I have not been visiting as often as I would like. I hope to be able to catch up and check in soon.

*The last couple of weeks have been a bit emotionally draining. The kind of draining where you just sink in to your mom's waiting hug. Thank you mom for being there for me....as you always are. You are a rock.

*Even though it's been emotionally draining, it has also been good.....how is that possible? Only because of the Lord, there could be no other reason. Sorry to be so vague, in time I'll share more.

*Sometimes when it rains it pours....or at least rains fairly hard ;) We are not only waiting and praying about one situation, but a couple. Ugh.

*I've been listening to Bob Marley's Three Little Birds....."don't worry about a thing, 'cuz every little thing is gonna be alright......"
and thinking on God's word ......

"Cast all your cares on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

Up, Up and Away......our beautiful balloon

G was able to capture some fun pictures of an air balloon....making an "almost" landing in our front yard. It was very exciting for the boys.

The balloon came so close to touching ground.

But, back up it went.
