My Reminder Jar
Because I can be a sensitive gal.....one who lets what people say get to me(I'm getting better about that), have days that I just feel sad, or discouraged and have PMS each month(which probably contributes to all that I mentioned)....I decided to make myself a reminder jar. I write down scripture, quotes from books, epiphanies, etc that have brought me encouragement or made me realize something. Things that have set me back on my feet, brought me back to what's real and true. Then, I put them in the jar. It's not filled very high.....yet.
The things I write may apply to homeschooling or parenting my children. They may just be things that.... simply encourage me. My hope is that on days I am feeling discouraged about anything....I can go to the jar, pull a piece of paper out and think "Oh,yeah!". Simple, but effective....for me. Maybe I should call it my a-ha moment jar??
Now, I just need to remember to go to it ;)

What a great idea, Mimi!!! It would be like blessing yourself each time you reached in and grabbed an encouraging word!!
This is a fantastic idea! A lot of us need encouraging words like this when we are feeling discouraged! Thanks for sharing this for us.
First of all, I LURVE the new look...it's so soft and a great mix of colors!!!
Second, as usual, your ideas ROCK!! I've gotta do this one for sure!!
Just a few more hours!!! YAY!!!
What a great idea!
I love it! What a GREAT idea! I am going to do this! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, this is an awesome idea...I definitely am going to do this...Thanks Mimi, thanks for sharing all your insight into what the Lord has shown you!!!!
What a very, very good idea Mimi! You are brilliant. Sometimes Gary asks me if I have PMS every day of the month....cause that's how creepy I am at the end of the day!
What a great idea! I have this thing called a joy jar that is similar, except Tiffani made it for me for my birthday. I pull a piece of paper out when I'm down or blue and it always lifts my spirits. You are so very creative. Don't you just hate the monster of PMS?
